DISTILLATION MASTER E2-55 Premium Plus_IH - Top model 2025 with matching 3 kW induction heating
NEW! No more silicone seals required
Legal and registration-free stainless steel distiller optimised for distilling essential oils with large capacity for flowers and leaves
30 ml of essential oil in 8 minutes
The registration-free DISTILLATION MASTER E2-55 Premium Plus_IH Model 2025 is equipped with a matching 3 kW induction heater. The stand and the induction heater are designed to work together so that the boiler can be rolled out of the system together with the heater for refilling with plants or water, while the cooling system with riser pipe and lid remains in place. This makes work faster and therefore more economical. The next distillation can start within a few minutes. The 3 kW output is ideal for low-loss distillation when the plant tube is full. If the tube can only be partially filled, the output must be reduced accordingly. When half full – with the aroma basket raised – 1.5 kW would be ideal. This corresponds to level 5 on the induction heater.
The pre-condenser ensures pressure-loss-free transition to the condensation of the vapour in the cooler. It is designed to be long enough so that the liquefied, still hot hydrolate flows into the final cooler. As liquid takes up much less volume than vapour, the pipe cross-section can be significantly reduced here. Due to the generous overall cooling length, extremely little cooling water is required if the cooling water flow is throttled so that the waste water comes out hot at outlet 6.4.
Note: Pressure losses in the pipe system result in increased pressure in the plant pipe, meaning that the steam has to work against a pressure peak. This causes hydrolate and oil to drip back, resulting in losses. This also increases the temperature in the plant pipe because the boiling point rises. This damages the essential oils and reduces their quality.
The boiler has a bubble size of 2 litres, which is permitted in Germany and Austria without notification, but the plant pipe has a total volume of 5.5 litres. This makes it one of the largest legal and notification-free distillers for essential oils.
The riser pipe of the Premium Plus model is insulated to minimise dripping losses. This optimises the Premium model for the extraction of essential oils and hydrolates.
In our own tests, we were able to extract a full 30 ml of essential oil from dried lavender flowers in just 8 minutes using this distiller. We also obtained one litre of excellent lavender hydrolate. We were surprised by the effectiveness of this distiller. The optimal ratio of plant tube height to plant tube diameter has clearly had a positive effect on efficiency. So if you want to produce essential oils and hydrolates effectively without customs formalities, the DESTILLIERMEISTER E2-55 Premium Plus_IH model 2025 is the perfect choice.
For most plants and flowers, the water supply is sufficient for a complete distillation. However, if one litre of hydrolate is not enough, which we have found to be the case when distilling fennel seeds, for example, a water refill nozzle is attached to the boiler. Here, the amount of hydrolate removed can be compensated for by adding the corresponding amount of water without dismantling the system. This saves a considerable amount of time during operation.
The insulated riser pipe already reduces drip losses. Drip losses can be further reduced by insulating the plant pipe as well, e.g. with a blanket. This means that a higher oil yield can be expected.
With 5.5 litres of plant space, you have plenty of volume to process even larger quantities of plants or drugs. By raising the aroma basket, you can also experiment with smaller quantities, but you should then work with reduced heating power so that the steam does not simply flow through the plant material without effect. The steam is generated in a separate boiler under the plant container, so that contact with boiling water is impossible.
The best thing is that, despite the large plant container, the water boiler only has a volume of 2 litres, which means that the DESTILLIERMEISTER E2-55 Premium Plus_IH Model 2025 is also legal in Germany and Austria and can be sold and operated without notification to customs.
Easy to use:
- In the new model, no seals are required between the 1st and 2nd or 3rd and 4th parts thanks to optimised clamping fasteners. The sealing is metallic. This means that there are no follow-up costs for this model.
- Fill the water/steam boiler with 1.9 litres of water, either demineralised or distilled water, or tap water if the limescale is removed from the bottom of the boiler with heated citric or acetic acid after a few distillations.
- Put on the lid 2 and close it with the clamps.
- Screw the plant tube 3 onto the lid and tighten.
- Insert the aroma basket, without the adjustable legs when fully loaded, with the legs and basket raised for smaller quantities.
- Fill with up to 5 litres of herbs or medicinal plants – do not compress chopped herbs.
- Put the lid 4 on and tighten the clamps 3.2.
- Place the boiler system on the induction plate with the rollable base. Prepare the electrical connection of the induction plate so that the plate can be rolled far enough out of the system structure on the trolley to refill the boiler. The heating system must be disconnected from the mains beforehand. However, after switching off the induction plate, the cooling fan must continue to run until it switches off automatically.
- Screw the insulated riser pipe in place.
- For the pre-condenser, first insert the stand rod 9.1. or, if the system was shipped, insert the pipe 9.1.1 into the extension 9.1.2. Then screw on the pre-condenser so that the pipe runs at a slight distance behind the riser pipe. This should be correct automatically if you follow the CD pin markings. The boiler with the pre-condenser should now be stable.
- For the end cooler, insert the stand pipes in the same way. Then screw on the end cooler. The cooling pipes should now be sloping everywhere. The markings on the coolers and on the stand pipes have ascending numbers in the direction of the steam and hydrolate flow. They are aligned so that the cooling system slopes towards the distillate outlet at every point. On uneven floors, the required setting may differ from the markings provided.
- Connecting hose 8: Connect 6.3 to 7.4.
- Screw the cooling water hoses to the cooler 7.3 and the pre-condenser 6.4 (cooling water hoses are not included but are available as accessories. The ‘all inclusive’ model includes all this and much more).
- The cooling water inlet has a 1/2‘ thread and the outlet on the pre-condenser is 3/4’. The cooling water always flows in a countercurrent to the distillate flow from bottom to top.
- After complete assembly, check that the cooling system is stable after rolling out the boiler. The screw connections may need to be tightened.
- Switch on the heat source and, after a short heating phase, collect the hydrolate with oil at 7.5.
- With a fully filled plant tube, distil for 16 to 18 minutes at high power (induction plate 3000 watts) for most plants. For small quantities of plants and with the aroma basket raised, use 1200 to 1500 watts. It is best to collect 2 margins of 500 ml each in a sterile bottle. If the pH value of the 2nd margin does not differ significantly from the 1st margin and is below 5, further margins can be taken. However, the amount of hydrolate removed should first be replenished with water via the refill nozzle 2.2.
The water/steam container and plant/drug tube, as well as all distillate-carrying pipes, are made of high-quality stainless steel.
