DESTILLIERMEISTER E2-55 Supreme-Plus, with all the necessary accessories for professional work.
You save € 50,- compared to single purchase
Legal, registration-free distillery made of stainless steel for essential oils and with a full 5.5 litres of plant capacity.
30 ml of essential oil in 10 minutes - that's what we achieved with 500 g of lavender flowers.
With approx. 5 litres of plant space, you have plenty of volume to process larger quantities of plants or drugs. The steam is generated in an extra boiler under the plant container, so that contact with boiling water can be ruled out.
The best thing is: As the water boiler only has a volume of 2 litres despite the large plant container, the DESTILLIERMEISTER E2-55 Supreme Plus can also be sold and operated legally in Germany and Austria without being reported to customs.
Simple handling:
- In the new model, gaskets are no longer required between the 1st and 2nd as well as the 3rd and 4th due to optimised clamping closures. The sealing works metallically. This model therefore no longer incurs any follow-up costs.
- Fill at least 1.3 litres, but no more than 1.7 litres of water into the water/steam boiler, place the larger seal over the edge of the boiler, put the lid on and close with clamp fasteners.
Ideally, demineralised or distilled water should be used; if normal drinking water is used, the water boiler should be descaled regularly.
- Attach the 5.5 litre plant tube and close the kettle with the clamp fasteners 1.1.
- Place the flavour basket in the plant tube and open.
- Fill to the brim with herbs or drugs - compact slightly. There are about 5 litres. Place the small seal over the edge.
- Put on the lid 3. and tighten the caps 2.4,
- Insert the distillation bridge 5 into the socket 4.1,
- Screw the cooling water hoses to the radiator.
- Switch on the heat source and collect the hydrolat with oil at 5.6.
- Distil for about 10 minutes at higher power (induction plate 3000 watts). There should be 500 ml of distillate.
Water / vapour container and plant / drug pipe, as well as all distillate-carrying pipes and connections are made of stainless steel.

Everything for distilling
- DESTILLIERMEISTER E2-55 Supreme-Plus.
- Adjustable flavour basket.
- 20 litre bucket for cooling water.
- "Resun" submersible pump KING-1A | 120 cm delivery head | 600 litres/hour.
- 2 cooling water hoses with the necessary screw connections.
- Stopcock to reduce the cooling water flow. The waste water should be as hot as possible to reduce cooling water consumption.
- Hose and adapter to direct the distillate into the separating funnel. The hose must not be immersed in the distillate; shorten the hose if necessary.
- Floating thermometer to check the temperature rise in the bucket when the hot cooling water is returned. From 40°C, the cooling water should be changed or the temperature cooled down by adding ice. If the same cooling water temperature is to be maintained, a second container should be used to collect the hot water.
- Distillate collecting and separating device.
- pH measuring sticks for measuring the hydrolate quality.
- Measuring cylinder with base for sampling.
- Cleaning brush.
- Three additional hoses for various uses, e.g. cooling hose extension by plugging together.
- A roll of Teflon tape as a stopgap in case of leaks.
Construction
- Water/steam boiler, 2 litre volume.
- Four clamp closures.
- Lid with stainless steel screw connection.
- 3/4" screw connection
- Plant pipe.
- 3/4" screw nipple - connection with 2.1.
- Cover with stainless steel socket.
- 22 mm socket. The riser pipe of the distilling bridge is inserted here as far as it will go.
- Distilling bridge.
- Riser pipe.
- High-quality stainless steel analogue thermometer, accurate to the degree.
- Cooling with a double tube. The distillate flows in the inner core tube. The cooling water flows in counterflow between the core and the outer jacket tube; distillate from top to bottom and cooling water from bottom to top.
- Cooling water inlet.
- Cooling water outlet.
- Distillate outlet.
- Height-adjustable flavour basket. The plants are filled onto this. The screw legs are omitted when the plant tube is full.

- All-inclusive accessory set.
- Aids for directing the hydrolat into the separating funnel.
- Oil separator, consisting of the following components:
- The separating funnel. This first collects the hydrolat.
- PTFE plug. In the picture, this is set to maximum flow. Turned through 90°, it closes completely. It is closed at the start of distillation. Only when you have collected around 60 to 70 ml do you slowly open it and allow the hydrolat to run off. Ideally, the hydrolat should flow into the collecting flask as quickly as it flows into the separating funnel. The oil collects on the surface of the hydrolat in the separating funnel.
- Stopper for the collecting flask with feedthrough. This can also be a silicone stopper.
- Collecting flask (Erlenmeyer flask - may look different depending on the supplier). You should definitely distil 500 ml; the non-water-soluble essential oil is now almost completely distilled off. If you want to continue collecting hydrolat, you should switch off the heat source briefly, decant the hydrolat or place a new flask underneath. Do not forget to close the plug 9.2.
- Stopper, suitable for separating funnels and Erlenmeyer flasks. This is not required for distillation.
- Set for the cooling water supply with the following accessories:
- 20-litre plastic bucket as cooling water reservoir.
- Powerful 230 volt cooling water pump with accessories for various hose diameters, sufficient for all our stainless steel stills up to approx. 20 litres.
- Various 2 metre PVC hoses, including 2 hoses with hose connections for the distillation cooler, one of which is prepared for connection to the pump. In addition, 3 hoses of different thicknesses for various applications, e.g. hose extension or decanting of hydrolates etc.
- Plastic tap for cooling water regulation, suitable for the counterflow cooler.
- 100 ml measuring cylinder with graduation and stand for taking distillate samples, e.g. for pH measurement.
- Cleaning brush.
- Float thermometer to check the cooling water if the hot waste water is returned to the bucket. Above 40°C, the water should either be cooled with ice or replaced.
- A roll of Teflon tape for sealing, e.g. if a seal leaks during distillation.
- pH measuring sticks, pH value between 3.6 and 6.1, 100 pieces. A hydrolate below pH 4 is of very good quality. From a pH value of 6 or higher, it must be decided whether distillation should be stopped. The hydrolate still smells good, but can no longer be stored so well.
- 500 g blue lavender flowers in distillation quality in a flavour and light protection bag.
The quantities may vary depending on the harvest and time of harvest. Rain shortly before harvesting can significantly reduce the yield. Harvesting should take place after at least 2 days of sunshine.
Legal information
With the new German Alcohol Tax Act, this distillate can also be sold legally in Germany since 1 January 2018 and without registration with the authorities. Please note that as a retailer, we must point out that this still may only be used for the distillation of distilled water, hydrolates, essential oils, flavours, fragrances, perfumes, food, alchemical experiments, etc. or as a collector's item. Anyone who distils alcohol and is caught doing so must expect a fine and confiscation of the distillation plant. But I can give you a legal tip. You can make delicious spirits from hydrolates by mixing them with taxed alcohol and water to drinking strength. Why not try a spirit made from fennel seed hydrolat?
Notes:
Demonstration: Planned experimental setup
In this example, the pump in the bucket pumps the cooling water to inlet 5.4. The waste water from outlet 5.5 flows back into the bucket. When the cooling water bucket is level with the still, the pump reaches almost its full capacity. The stopcock is then not required or remains fully open. If a separate waste water bucket is used, the flow should be throttled so that the waste water drains off as hot as possible. This can be regulated either via the stopcock or via the installation height of the bucket. This is possible, for example, if the base of the bucket is lower or approx. 1 metre high up to the waste water outlet. If the bucket is placed higher, the water flows faster; if it is placed lower, the water flows more slowly. If the bucket is placed higher than the height of the waste water outlet, no pump is required, but the waste water no longer flows back into the bucket.
The maximum delivery head of the pump is 1.2 metres. The delivery head is measured from the water level to the waste water outlet.

Note: The induction plate shown is not included in the scope of delivery
Commissioning
After production, all parts are only roughly cleaned. Before commissioning, all water and steam-carrying parts must be cleaned on the inside. The use of a commercially available washing-up liquid is sufficient. For this purpose, the pipes of the distillation bridge are flushed with water containing detergent. With this model, the pump and the attachable screw nipple can be used for this purpose. This is simply attached to the distillate drain so that the cooling water hose can be screwed on. This process is repeated with cold, clear water. The same procedure is also recommended when changing the type of plant to be distilled.
