These stills have either a combination of countercurrent and coil cooling or two countercurrent cooling. About a countercurrent cooler pre and afterflow are distilled. The other flow cooler or snake cooler is only responsible for the brandy from the middle run. As a result, impurities of the middle run are excluded by pre- or caster.
