With more than 5.5 liters of plant space, they have ample volume to process larger quantities of plants or drugs. By raising the aroma basket you can also experiment with smaller quantities, but you should then work with reduced heating output. The steam is generated in an extra boiler under the plant container, so that contact with boiling water can be excluded.
The best thing is: Since the kettle only has a volume of 2 liters despite the large plant container, the DISTILLIERMEISTER E2-5 Supreme is also legal in Germany and Austria and can be sold and operated without reporting to customs.

So that you can start distilling immediately, you now get a 500 g pack of dried lavender flowers in an aroma and light protection bag. This is enough for many distillations. The packaging is equipped with an aroma protection cap. These flowers are particularly suitable for steam distillation.
Easy to use:
- Fill 1.9 liters of demineralized or distilled water into the water / steam boiler,
- Put on 5.5 liters of plant pipe and close with tension locks,
- Insert aroma basket,
- fill with up to 5.5 liters of herbs or drugs - do not compress,
- Insert the seal as described below
- Place the distillation module 3. and tighten the tension locks 3.2,
- Screw the cooling water hoses to the chiller,
- Switch on the heating source and collect oil at 3.8 hydrolate,
- Distill for 15 to a maximum of 30 minutes at higher power (induction plate 1300 to 2000 watts), taking out about 2 x 1/2 liters of distillate. That is enough for most plants or flowers. In some plants, the hydrolate yield is so high that the water pot can be refilled several times. With fennel seeds, for example, 3 to 4 liters of high-quality hydrolate can be removed. As long as the pH is below 5.5, the hydrolate is of high quality.

Aroma basket for insertion in the steam pipe. In the lowest position, this has about 3 cm distance to the ground and a closed storage area in the middle, so that the rising steam jet does not flow directly through the plant material and, due to the jet effect, blows a tunnel, which would lead to losses. The steam initially flows radially due to the storage area and then rises through its own thermal. The plant tube has a height / diameter ratio greater than 1, so that an effective chimney effect favors the drag effect.
The legs of the aroma basket are adjustable in this model, so that you can also experiment with smaller amounts of plants.
If the plant tube is to be completely filled and the plant material is uncut, it is also possible to work without an aroma basket under certain conditions. A nest of about 3 cm in height is then formed from part of the non-shredded plants on the ground above the steam entrance. But this is only possible with plants from which a permeable nest can be formed, e.g. B. pine branches or rosemary stems. The shredded plant material is filled into this nest.
